How to rocket your amazon sales with this little trick

When you think about making sales online you might immediately think of Amazon as the easiest or best channel. I  work with many ecommerce sellers on their Amazon channel but I continually encourage them to move to other channels as well so they can avoid being held hostage by the Amazon terms of service. Today I would like to give you tips so that you have complete control over the experience your customers have with your brand, which can’t happen solely through the Amazon platform.

How is this achieved? One way is to drive traffic to a landing page on your website or another platform using the power of Instagram influencers, or other social media platforms such as facebook, pinterest , tumblt, reddit and so on.

A sales funnel is one of the main things you need to build in order to scale your business.

What is a sales funnel? It’s a way to move your prospective customers to purchase your products and remain engaged with your brand. A good sales funnel begins with an advertisement that makes an offer and moves step by step all the way to the point of purchase. Today I am going to give you some insight how someone who not only builds funnels for his own business but has discovered that there’s a great deal of money to be made helping others build and establish their own sales process. You’re going to get tons of insight from all the different ideas which can be used to create specific funnels for your market.

Building a successful sales funnel is hard work.

It’s very common that those who want to get into the ecommerce space think it’s an “easy” way to make money. While it may be true that it has certain lifestyle benefits you’ve got to understand that like any other way of making money, it’s a business – and businesses require hard work in order to succeed. I help business owners build sales funnels that acquire leads and drive sales and today I will share the steps and continual refinement it takes to build an effective sales funnel that can fuel your business long term. It’s hard work. Expect it. However there are help ahead too……

Leads are the lifeblood of every business.

One of the main benefits of a good sales funnel is that it collects leads for your business day after day, 24 hours per day. Leads are vital because they are the lifeblood of any business. Once you have them all you have to do is carry out the continual process of refining your systems and creating touch points with your leads that result in purchases. Leads, nurtured and contacted regularly WILL result in sales. And that’s how a business makes a profit and grows. On this episode Los Silva walks through the process his business uses to help clients create and sustain sales funnels that acquire leads effectively. You won’t want to miss this one.

How to move your products to different channels.

If you want to gain independence as a business you’ve got to ensure that your products are offered on many different sales channels, not only on Amazon, eBay, or another of the big dogs in the space. That means building sales funnels around the products that you’ve had the most success with so far and testing those funnels to dial in your conversions on the new platform. If that sounds confusing it’s because there is a lot of hard work involved. But thanks to this strategy that I want to share with you , every step become very simple.

How to Beat Amazon: A Better Sales Funnel

Many ecommerce sellers struggle with the “how do I compete with Amazon?” issue. They understand that long-term success is possible only if they do not rely on a single sales channel, massive as that channel may be. They understand the importance of building their own brand and acquiring their own customers.

Where many ecommerce sellers struggle, however, is coming up with a compelling reason for the shopper to buy their product, on their site, instead of on Amazon. How do you beat that kind of reach and credibility?

One good way to give a shopper a reason to buy from you instead of Amazon is to sell your product(s) using a multi-step sales funnel. This is something you cannot do through Amazon right now. Retailers are figuring out that a key way to compete with Amazon is to offer a better deal than Amazon – and you might even increase sales.

Look at it this way – if Amazon takes, say, 30% of your revenue – then you can use that 30% you save to offer discounts through your OWN site.

(For one of our clients, we increased their average order from $40 to $73, using the funnel approach described below.)

A multi-step funnel provides a shopper with well-timed “upsell” opportunities.

For example, if you sell a product that lends itself to quantity purchasing, the price on your site’s product page could be the same as your Amazon price. You can use automation to display a special offer to that user if they decide to leave, such as a quantity discount with a small window of opportunity to take advantage of the savings.

There are other things that you can do on your own site that you cannot do through Amazon, also.

We already know that having an email list is important, so you can require an opt-in to unlock content such as a how-to guide.

Use automation to email them special offers that get them to convert. You know what products they’re interested in because you tracked the pages they visited, or what they put in their shopping cart.

You can split-test offers to determine what works. Send behavior-based emails to show them related products or accessories. Use retargeting at the same time and make multiple offers via banner ads so that you can compare and determine which offer pulls in the buyers.

Additionally, during checkout you can upsell them more quantities of the same product at a big discount. Buyers love a deal and they’ll appreciate the savings you’re giving them, over Amazon.

One way to take control of your business future is to take control of your selling strategies. Fortunately, this is much easier to do on your own site – Amazon simply cannot compete in the same way. Use that to your advantage and you CAN persuade people to buy directly from you.
